Yes. SteelTech is a full-service provider — we handle everything from design and fabrication right through to on-site installation and handover. You don’t need to organise a separate contractor for installation. Our experienced installation teams operate across Harare and the wider Zimbabwe region.

Our primary material is mild (carbon) steel in various sections, plates, and profiles. We also work with stainless steel for hygienic or corrosion-critical applications, aluminium for lightweight structures, and a range of proprietary steel roofing and cladding products from leading manufacturers.

All our standard steelwork is treated with quality primers and top-coats or powder coating for long-term corrosion protection.

Yes. All SteelTech fabrication and installation work is covered by a workmanship warranty. The duration varies by product — structural steelwork carries a longer warranty than consumables like roofing sheets. Full warranty details are specified in your written quotation and project contract.

Absolutely. A significant portion of our work is for residential clients. We fabricate and install everything homeowners need — from driveway gates and carports to burglar bars, security doors, and custom steel features. We treat every residential project with the same attention to detail as our large commercial and industrial contracts.

Yes. We have experience delivering large industrial projects including portal frame warehouses, factory buildings, mezzanine structures, and industrial cladding packages. Our team includes qualified structural steel erectors and we work alongside civil, electrical, and mechanical contractors on complex multi-trade projects.

Yes, and we encourage it. If you have architect or engineer drawings, simply share them with us and we will price from your documentation. We can work from concept sketches, CAD drawings, PDF plans, or detailed engineering drawings. The more detail you provide, the more accurate your quotation will be.

Absolutely. For most residential and light commercial projects, we offer a full design service as part of our quotation process at no additional charge. For larger structural projects that require engineer certification, we work with registered structural engineers and can coordinate this on your behalf.

Lead times depend on the complexity and scope of the work. As a general guide:

• Burglar bars / small items: 5–10 working days
• Gates and carports: 2–4 weeks
• Roofing projects: 1–3 weeks depending on size
• Industrial structures: 6–16 weeks from order to installation

Yes. We offer a full range of powder coat colours (RAL and proprietary colour ranges) for fabricated steelwork, and roofing and cladding products are available in a wide palette of pre-painted finishes. Our sales team can provide colour swatches and sample panels to help you choose.

Yes, all quotations are completely free and carry no obligation. We provide itemised, written quotations so you can see exactly what you are paying for. For larger projects requiring a site visit, we may schedule a visit with your agreement before finalising the quote.

Standard quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Given fluctuations in material prices, we are unable to honour quotations beyond this period without re-pricing. If your quotation has lapsed, contact us and we will provide an updated quote quickly.

Yes. For most projects we require a deposit (typically 50% of the contract value) before commencing fabrication, with the balance due on completion. For large projects, we agree a payment schedule that aligns with project milestones. All payment terms are clearly stated in your written contract.
